Zack Cheuk is a 17 year old figurative painter and visual artist, born in New York City and based in Los Angeles. He is in 11th grade, attending Crossroads School for Arts and Sciences. Zack’s work explores themes of identity, place, and diaspora; and he investigates these topics through a dualistic and juxtapositional lens rooted in his lived experience. He is interested in how two things can simultaneously be singular and separate, and his practice seeks to depict the threshold that is created out of that paradox.

 

Zack was named a 2026 YoungArts Winner with Distinction and has been nominated for the American Visions Award by the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.
